THE MOUNTAIN

You awaken where paths no longer lead anywhere...

A village sleeps beneath snow and silence, wrapped in fog so thick it swallows sound itself. No bells ring. No fires burn. Only the wind remembers how this place once lived.
Around you stand gateways ... ancient, fractured, watching. They hum softly, as if breathing. No markings tell where they lead, or if they lead back at all.
The villagers are gone. Or hiding. Or worse.
All that remains is the mountain.
They say the fog was born there. That the darkness descends each night from its heart, creeping closer, claiming what little still exists.
You do not know who you are.
You do not know why you were brought here.

But you know this:

If the mountain is not reached, the village will vanish.
